Our name, Psyche, comes from Greek mythology. Psyche, (pronounced sigh-key), was a mortal woman beloved of Eros, the famous son of Aphrodite. Through many pleasures and trials of passion, Psyche is transformed so that as a goddess, she can be with Eros forever. Psyche is, fittingly, also the Greek word for butterfly and for soul.
